New Poll Show Trump Large Win. Arab, Palestinian, Muslim Americans are being targeted. Why isn't Biden listening to pleas?
It has destroyed the premise, once again — and it’s not the first time that we’ve been shaken out of this fantasy — that U.S. can invest in repression to deliver security and stability

Exactly 365 days before US Election. Also, 28 years ago, Yitzhak Rabin's assassination. Biden just lost the election with his Gaza policy. Running as a Democrat with a genocide platform always hard (it will get harder in coming months as situation worsens).
The depth of trouble Biden is in with American voters. The GOP leads today on all top issues. One year from Election Day, Republicans perceived as better at handling the economy.
After over 10,000 killed and 30,000 wounded, 1,400,000 displaced, hospitals shutdown, "the U.S. is slowly and carefully drawing red lines for Israel on Gaza. But too late for poll. Maybe the number will be worse in November 2024.
Biden and his top advisers are warning Israel with growing force that it will become increasingly difficult for it to pursue its military goals in Gaza as global outcry intensifies about the scale of humanitarian suffering there.
Trump led in Nevada, Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania. Biden barely leads at all among nonwhite voters <45, even though the same voters reported backing Biden by almost 40 pts in the last election … the candidates are essentially tied among voters 18 to 29, a group that has reliably backed Democrats by a wide margin for 2 decades.
On Friday, 48 hours ago, 51 DNC staffers — about 17% of the DNC's roughly 300 employees — signed a letter to DNC leaders saying that "we feel it is the DNC's moral obligation to urge President Biden to publicly call for a ceasefire.’’
- "it's just one poll"
- "Dem panic is good for turnout"
- "young/non-white voters will mean-revert in '24"
Fine, maybe. But the core dynamic here is Biden's approval [38.7 percent] is stuck, at 1,018 days, below *every* post-war POTUS not named Jimmy Carter [33 percent]. It’s so funny to release a poll showing Biden only hanging on with old white voters on the 15th anniversary of Obama’s 2008 election.
Over 80% of Americans are concerned that the U.S. could be pulled into the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. Biden's approval has fallen to its lowest level since last summer. He's on the brink of losing all of the gains he made after the passage of the IRA. His all-time lowest approval on 538's tracker was 37.9%. He's less than a point away from being below that.
The march for Palestine was so big none of us could even tell where we were. Truly astounding the sheer number of people who came out to Freedom Plaza. The people of the United States are truly taking to the streets, finally to be on the right side of history.
Some "Democrats in Congress have invoked a landmark law barring assistance to security forces of governments deemed guilty of human rights abuses to challenge the Biden administration’s emergency military aid program for Israel" as it bombs Gaza civilians.
There have been some very important principles of international law... that [Biden officials] have articulated about why what they are doing [in backing Kyiv] is important. They have spent the past three weeks burning that to the ground.
For the past 2 years we've had NATO countries send hundreds of billions of dollars to Ukraine, a quantity of weapons so enormous it depleted their own reserves, a vast undisclosed number of mercenary soldiers, and threw everything but the kitchen sink in terms of sanctions to cripple Russia.
The result? It simply didn't work, NATO is now suing for peace and Ukraine will probably end up having lost at least a fifth of its country, a territory half the size of the UK.
All this after having been told during almost the entire duration of the war that Ukraine was winning...
Of course, people will be told that it's not a defeat, merely a "stalemate", that NATO comes out of it reinforced with additional members, that it's Ukraine or Zelensky's fault anyhow, blablabla...
But the crux of the matter is NATO defined an extremely clear objective - which was to "drive Russians back to pre-invasion lines" to directly quote Anthony Blinken - and that failed miserably despite their unprecedented efforts.
Which means that the West is much less powerful than they thought they were, they just couldn't collectively defeat Russia. This has immense implications. First of which being: if they can't defeat Russia, what hope do they have against China which is likely - just looking at metrics (number of people, production capacity, military budget, etc.) - at least 5 times more powerful?
The answer is obvious. Another one is that all those places around the world who thought they were protected by the US will start (in fact are already starting) asking themselves: "wait a minute... That protection isn't worth much, is it?"
And so we'll likely witness very significant shifts of alliances and protection arrangements. Lastly people in Western countries will at some point wake up from their propagandized haze and ask very simple questions like: why did we ruin ourselves for Ukraine with almost nothing to show for it?
Wouldn't we and the Ukrainians have been better off if we'd respected Minsk 2 and if we hadn't tried to convert Ukraine into a Western bulwark against Russia? And so this will likely serve as a hard lesson domestically that we'd better be much more humble about our geopolitical ambitions (assuming the West still is capable of learning lessons, which is far from certain). All in all, this will undoubtedly be seen by history as the defining event that signified we moved from Western hegemony into a multipolar world. A very long chapter of our collective world history book has just been closed.
Revenge will just lead to more suffering. And to more casualties. And even though it’s the most horrible day—it was the most horrible loss of life in Israel since the foundation of the country—I’m afraid that the numbers can be much bigger... I’m afraid for the soldiers, for the civilians from both sides in Gaza and in Israel that will pay [with] their life.
Standing with Netanyahu is not standing with Israel. It’s standing with more violence, death, and tears.
I know a lot of high-ranking media, such as New York Times, Guardian, Anadolu, BILD, Spiegel, Financial Times, Strait Times, Washington Post etc subscribed my substack. Plestia ‘Bosbos’ Alaqad ready to be your Stringer inside Gaza under bombing by Israel. Plestiaa2011@gmail.com
