The Boeing 737 MAX passenger airliner was grounded worldwide between March 2019 and December 2020 – longer in many jurisdictions – after 346 people died in two similar crashes: Lion Air Flight 610 on October 29, 2018, and Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 on March 10, 2019.

By God’s will, no casualties in US soil [or airspace] after 8 incidents in the last 12 days [4 - 16 March, 2024], all in the US.
For Indonesian people, case 737 still shattered not only because of the number of casualties, but also lawsuits about compensation.

Nowadays one needs courage to fly Boeing and divine luck to land in one safely. Airlines might as well start selling holy water and talisman on the plane. Rep. Keating dumping his Boeing stock while having access to information about the company is yet another example of why there should be a ban on members of Congress owning or trading stocks.
Boeing whistleblower John Barnett was planning to drive home to Louisiana after his deposition on Friday 3/8 before Boeing lawyers asked him to stay one more day to finish his testimony. His body was found on the morning of 3/9, per FORTUNE and rewriting again by Yahoo News.
Barnett's detailed testimony and ability to recall specific dates without referring to documents had flustered the Boeing lawyers to the point that they tried to protest against it. Meanwhile, Barnett's own lawyer found himself thinking "This is the best witness I've ever seen."
Barnett was planning to start driving from SC to LA after completing his testimony on Friday 3/8, but that night the Boeing lawyers asked him to stay for one more day of depositions on Saturday 3/9. Something happened overnight at his hotel, and he was found dead that morning.

Barnett's lawyer described him as "really happy to be telling his side of the story" hours before his death. Barnett told family/friends "If I die, it's not suicide." Charleston Police say the gunshot that killed him "appears to be self-inflicted" and they're "investigating."
So after a day of passionate and detailed testimony, Boeing's lawyers requested that John Barnett stay in South Carolina for an extra night to answer more questions the next day. John Barnett did not live through that extra night. What is obvious is that Boeing executives do not deserve the benefit of the doubt on ANYTHING.
If you have been following the Boeing saga over the last several months, you might be concerned about the lack of quality care, the failure of their latest iteration of a lengthened 737, which was intended to replace the aging 757 fleet, and their prioritization of Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) above all else.
This may lead you to wonder if the degradation of America's largest air manufacturer is intentional and strategic. And the answer is, of course, yes. Boeing has a long history of manufacturing the finest and safest aircraft in the world. Over the years, they have diligently perfected their products, making them more reliable, safer, and more comfortable for their discerning clients.
However, this has changed recently with the implementation of DEI as a guideline for hiring workers at their manufacturing facilities. Consequently, the workforce is no longer comprised of the most qualified candidates based on ability and CV, but rather, it prioritizes diversity.
The problems stemming from the implementation of DEI, coupled with turning a blind eye to the weaknesses and outcomes of the hiring policies, have resulted in various anomalies across Boeing's fleets. But there is another issue at play here.
Boeing is essentially sabotaging its own operations, similar to the chaotic retreat from Afghanistan orchestrated by President Biden, which allowed China to fill the void left by America. It is important to recognize that the current public consciousness surrounding Boeing is fueled by negative reflexivity.
These processes are guided by fertile fallacies, which are truth wrapped in lies with an ulterior motive or purpose. In the case of Boeing, the ultimate goal is to hinder America's ability to independently build large-capacity, multi-class aircraft for domestic and international transportation. Confirmation bias is utilized to keep the wheel of reflexivity spinning. This involves constantly reporting every small or large issue, which may have gone unreported in the past, associated with Boeing aircraft. These issues, such as landing gear problems, fuel line malfunctions, or malfunctioning restrooms, are amplified on social media to generate an atmosphere of fear and apprehension about flying on Boeing aircraft. Consequently, this will lead to a decline in shareholder value and the eventual closure of Boeing.
