Biden and Dems suggest heavier hand with protesters, risking further alienation of youth voters -- and not just the usual suspects. The College Dems, hardly a hothouse of progressive activism, issue a warning to the White House. We say we believe in freedom of speech. We say we believe in freedom of assembly and protest. That freedom must include the freedom to speak and protest against Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Save lives, end the weapons transfers and the genocide, free the Palestinian people.

People are passing food & water through the gates to the Columbia University Gaza Encampment protesters. Columbia has completely shut down access to campus to try to starve the encampment after pro peace occupied Hamilton Hall to be Hind Rajab Hall.
Officers from all over uptown, midtown, some even from downtown.
Seems NYPD is deploying it’s entire force to raid the peaceful solidarity encampment inside Columbia after students take down Hamilton Hall to be Hind Rajab Hall. Same pattern in every cities, to entire 136 encampments.

By [newest] my count, at least 1,220 were arrested in 136 encampments on US soil since April 19th. Cannot count [total arrested] outside US soil, already 17 universities ‘join the club’. Sadly, I just covered only 30+ venmo cashapp / 30+ universities. I already screenshotted [now] 1.300+ serious injured [some maybe critical injured, heavy bleed], and I believe all screenshot is different person, so 800+ person. I’m not like Jennifer Koonings in giving a judgment about a medical situation actually, but with [footage] about bruise, blood, this is awful. Students just try to peace protest, some just reading a book in the middle of lawn [of campus].
