[Breaking] UAE Exit OPEC, OPEC+, as Result of Problem Liquidity After Prolonged Iran War/Blockade of Hormuz

The United Arab Emirates will withdraw from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and OPEC+ this week, as the Iran war roils global energy markets. The price of oil climbed above $110 a barrel for the first time in three weeks today. Make Saudi Arabia solely leader of OPEC. According to multiple calculation, UAE suffered [loss] around US$830 - US$850 billion just from Iran war started last February 2026, and even Trump agreed to bailout UAE to make sure UAE is still ally for United States.

As cash-strapped Pakistan tried to mediate an end to the US-Israeli war on Iran, the UAE made a shock request of its longtime ally — repay US$3.5bn immediately. What does this say about the balance of power in the Gulf? Actually US$3.5 billion is so little if compare [already] loss around US$850 billion.

Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery mega merger [US$111 billion] will be 38.5% owned by Middle Eastern Funds following close filling, and according to multiple sources, at least 10% is UAE. The large cash infusion from Middle Eastern sovereign-wealth investors will give Gulf countries a significant position in the US entertainment and media industry and provide a boost to their soft power even without voting rights.

If both parties are going to continue to support an ongoing genocide, at least they can both be honest about doing so, rather than having one openly bloodthirsty party, and another—unconvincingly—playing the role of powerless, bumbling humanitarian.
