I think the normal reaction from the media to Israel’s ban on Western journalists in Gaza, a reaction I saw many times in other cases over several decades, would be: we are not publishing any of Israel’s statements until the ban is lifted. Since the beginning of the conflict, Israeli press has consistently been more critical of Netanyahu and his administration than the Western press, or Western officials. Given that there's actual censorship of the press in Israel (they need to run their articles by the Israeli Military Censor before publishing), this tells you just how insanely biased the West is in how it presents what's going on, self-censoring even more than actual Israeli censorship.
Polio vaccinations have begun on the ground, while Israel continues to kill children from the sky. Polio came to Gaza after Israel deliberately destroyed all means necessary to sustain life. The vax campaign starts weeks after the virus was detected, and too late for some children. The ‘humanitarian gesture’ is because Israel doesn't want the virus to spread into its [Israeli] territories.
The Orwellian language of calling "humanitarian" a pause to vaccinate kids against polio in Gaza when they'll resume killing and displacing them in their sick version of Hunger Games immediately afterwards. Gaza hadn’t reported a polio case in 25 years and this genocide by Israel has destroyed the infrastructure creating a reemergence. The same people who support the genocide are now coming to the aid of Gaza with their vaccines, their NGOs all in coordination with the IDF. With polio spreading in Gaza, ~50,000 children born during the war lack vaccines, aid groups say "The reemergence of the [virus] in Gaza is a direct result of the destruction of water and sanitation infrastructure, and the Government of Israel's restrictions on repairs and supplies."
Israel has exponentially more hostages than Hamas has, and murders them routinely, and rapes and tortures them constantly. ‘Netanyahu knew hostages live on borrowed time,’ " a senior official in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government said over the weekend. He acted in cold blood. [His gov't] knows he's corrupt, a narcissist, a coward, but his lack of humanity was revealed in all its ugliness recently. The blood is on his hands, without absolving Hamas at all. "He [Bibi] knew there were orders to kill them if there'd be rescue attempts. He understood the significance of his orders and acted in cold blood and cruelly."
"They all knew he is corrupted, a narcissist, a coward," the official continued, "but his lack of humanity was fully revealed in all its ugliness in recent months." He added, "The blood is on his hands, without absolving Hamas of any responsibility.”
The prime minister is indeed the main culprit for the horror that transpired in the tunnel under Rafah, which ended on Sunday with six fresh graves. But he's not the only guilty party. Direct responsibility for the tragedy also falls on Likud cabinet ministers, the pathetic gang that made the Philadelphi corridor a holy place, after months of saying "amen" to every step the prime minister took.
"These people are servants who would change their opinion in a second and vote for a deal if they realized that Netanyahu supported it," said an individual who was present at the meetings. "[Foreign Minister] Israel Katz, [Transportation Minister] Miri Regev, [former Foreign Minister] Eli Cohen and their partners are spineless lackeys on a level the public doesn't comprehend. They're only interested in their political careers." The same can be said about allegedly sane cabinet ministers and lawmakers, who could have brought down the "government of blood," but have instead remained glues to their chairs.
Even the "moderate" and "rational" Arye Dery will also struggle to clean the blood from his hands. The Shas chairman could have saved the hostages and the country long ago if he were truly a leader.
"Anyone capable of taking action to release them as early as possible must do so as quickly as possible," his late spiritual leader, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, once said. He said that the government especially had a duty "to try with great vigor and the more forcefully to save and release our captive brethren held by the enemy."
Indeed, Shas announced that it would support "any deal that would lead to the hostages' release." However, Dery didn't go out of his way to see a deal reached. He could have been a counterweight to the political pyromaniacs, Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, threatening to topple the government if no deal would be signed. Instead, he spent recent months promoting other deals closer to his heart, like the "rabbis' law" providing jobs for his cronies.
"Don't count on him," a senior coalition members said recently. "His image as a responsible politician is all an act. People deceive themselves into believing that he's the solution, but he'll leave the government after Netanyahu."
Another person misusing his position is the Israel's president. Isaac Herzog should have shouted from every stage what everyone knew about the methodical and cynical abandonment of the hostages. Instead, he preferred to lose himself in his beloved mediating.
One time he got involved in the song representing Israel at the Eurovision song contest. Another time, he mediated between Regev and the bereaved families regarding the ceremony to mark the first anniversary of the October 7 massacre. Yet another time, he mediated between Justice Minister Yariv Levin and Uzi Vogelman, the interim president of the Supreme Court. On Sunday, he belatedly apologized. It's not enough. The president should turn in the keys.
The opposition isn't free of responsibility, either. It's enough to imagine how easily and quickly Netanyahu, had he been the opposition leader, would have torn into a government responsible for the worst disaster since the country's founding, in order to understand the enormity of the failure of Yair Lapid, Benny Gantz and Avigdor Lieberman.
Those who should have been working to peel off deserters from the coalition, and thus dissolve the government, instead chose to bicker with each other. Joining them is the cowardly silence of the pretender to the crown, Naftali Bennett. For the past year, those who claim they should replace the Netanyahu government have been unable to stir up the streets, get people out of their homes and disrupt life in Israel until the government falls. Not a single one of them deserves to lead Israel after the war in Gaza ends.
For all intents and purposes, Netanyahu is alone on the playing field, his self-confidence grows as the danger of losing his title lowers. "It was always clear he'd do everything to survive politically, at any price," a political source said. "But what we've seen in recent weeks, especially in the cabinet meeting about the Philadelphi route, shows he's no longer afraid of pushback.
The man wary of making decisions suddenly pounded the table, going against the entire defense establishment, and after the defense minister explicitly warned him that he was endangering the hostages' lives. He insisted that the army remain in Philadelphi during the six weeks of a cease-fire, and took care to release the decision so that Hamas would know he's aimed at one goal – torpedoing the deal. He simply abandoned the hostages without blinking."
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, the only senior cabinet minister who dared to stand up to Netanyahu during the meeting, said the prime minister was in a "coma" immediately after the massacre. After that, to Gallant, he mostly worked "diametrically opposed" to Israeli interests.
If anyone has had doubts until now, the murder of the hostages should leave no doubt. The disaster must be a turning point in the Sisyphean effort to send home the dangerous and radical gang that has seized control of Israel. If the streets remain empty and Israelis continue to wallow in their despair, the few hostages still alive will return here in body bags, while the government drives the country toward annihilation.

We as Muslim prohibited to fasting at least 6 days for entire year [365, or 366 in leap year]. 2 Days Eid Fitr / Eid el-Fitr [1 Shawwal and 2 Shawwal / Syawal Syawwal], Day of Eid Adha / Eid el-Adha [10 Dzulhijjah / Dhul-Hijjah - today], and days of Tashriq [11th, 12th and 13th Dhul-Hijjah / Dzulhijjah, or in Gregorian Calendar 2024, the days of Tashriq means 17-19 June]. But doesn’t mean prohibited for ‘less eating or hunger strike.’ As sacrifice in DC at least 13 days by Jennifer Koonings just because her protest about Gaza, I keep ‘eating less’ not only for her but also for Palestine, at least until 19 June. And for June 20th, back again for nonmandatory fasting, normally 17-18 hours, as even Jennifer, with her gut, sacrifice herself for Gaza. Wisdom quote I hear since war [Israel - Gaza] nonstop ‘’...You can't make people care about a genocide happening right in front of their eyes. They either do immediately, or a chip is missing up there, and they never will.’
For solidarity, since she started to hunger strike, I put myself eat 1 very tiny plate/day for break the fasting and for entire day after, extreme fasting 16.5 hours [based on my location]. I’m still continued for hunger strike, because its very easy. In last 17 years, I already [minimum] 340 days / year to fasting [29 - 30 days for mandatory fasting for muslim, ramadan session, the rest is voluntary fasting / sunnah]. Photo Jennifer with ann Wright, retired retired US Army and also [Ann] retired State Department. Sometimes I’m fasting up to 22 hours / day because forgot to break my fasting.
