Five (NYU, Columbia, TNS, Fordham, Fashion Institute of Technology or FIT) encampments in NYC have been cleared now, and all in late night / early morning police raids. Tragedy for the right to assembly. Crackdown with full force, with ratio [repeatedly] 6:1 [6 police to 1 student who joined encampment]. Also Chicago, Mass Amherst, and UCLA [so far]. In last 31 hours, 100 - 105 arrests in encampment of University of Chicago, also 100 - 105 UMass Amherst, and around 70 - 75 related to FIT / Fashion Institute of Technology, including 2 journalists [Olga Fedorova and Josh Pacheco].
