Lai Ching-te, the current Vice-President for the Republic of China has won the 16th Taiwanese Presidential Election and will assume the Office of the President on May 20th of 2024.

President-Elect Ching-te has been a Major Supporter of Full Taiwanese Independence from Mainland China unlike his 2 opponents in this Election who were both in support of ‘Closer-Ties’ and eventual Reunification with Beijing.
