[Breaking - Indonesia] With 2 Latest Surveys Prabowo Leads More Than 20 Points, Maybe We Already Must Prepare 1-Round Election

Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto Djojohadikusumo extends his lead to more than 20 points over his rivals in the run-up to the February 14 election, according to a poll released on Sunday [INDIKATOR, led by Professor Burhanudin Muhtadi] and Monday just minutes ago by Kompas [under LITBANG KOMPAS / RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT team of Kompas, biggest or 1st circulated newspaper in ASEAN. Prabowo’s electability has been on a steady rise since he picked Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the eldest son of President ‘Jokowi’ Joko Widodo, as his running mate in October.

The poll, conducted by Indikator Politik Indonesia shows that 45.8 percent of respondents will vote for Prabowo and Gibran. Previous survey, just 39.7 percent.

Ganjar Pranowo, the early front-runner in various polls before the president’s son jumped ship for the Prabowo camp, is now ranked second with 25.6 percent of votes, dropped significant because previous INDIKATOR survey got 30 percent. Anies Rasyid Baswedan and running mate Muhaimin Iskandar received 22.8 percent of the votes, dropped slightly, previosuly 24.4 percent. The remaining 5.9 percent of respondents remain undecided.

Number for Prabowo more stunning on LITBANG KOMPAS. 39.3 percent of respondents will vote for Prabowo and Gibran. Ganjar - Mahfud down to the ranked 3rd, because 2nd goes to Anies - Muhaimin, received 16.7 percent. Ganjar - Mahfud only 15.3 percent. But increase number on undecided, 28.7 percent.

Now Prabowo - Gibran on ‘average’ 40 - 41 percent in multiple surveys.
