[Pro Cut Spending for Ukraine] McCarthy OUSTED by [Pro Cut Spending] Gaetz - Rosendale and Co. The Future of Ukraine's assistance is still uncertain.
DC 8.02AM
When GOP Matthew Martin Rosendale Sr. [רוזנדהל, Rosendaël, Roosendaal, Rosenthalis] giving a vote to ousted Kevin Owen McCarthy, he’s 8TH VOTE against the speaker, lock the final kick, to ousted McCarthy or officially removed from the speakership. Kevin Owen McCarthy has had the shortest Speakership since Michael C. Kerr (December 1875-August 1876). He died of tuberculosis. Nancy Patricia D'Alesandro Pelosi served 2,920 days as Speaker. Kevin Owen McCarthy lasted 270 days as Speaker. That's 27 scaramuccis or 0.093 of a Pelosi. 216-210 McCarthy is removed from office.
For the first time in history, the House has deposed its speaker. The House is done for the week. No more votes. The House is adjourned until next Tuesday with a speaker election vote to be held next Wednesday. The House's work comes to a full stop for the next 7+ days. 4 Candidates so far for Speakership next Tuesday =
Former President Donald John Trump
Steven Joseph Scalise
James Daniel ‘Jim’ Jordan
Kevin Ray Hern
all = pro cut spending for Ukraine
Indicted for a felony = cannot to be House Speaker
Scalise has started making the rounds - calling members to gauge his support for Speaker if he formally threw his hat in the ring.
History has been made on Capitol Hill after Kevin McCarthy was ousted as speaker of the House, marking the first time ever that House lawmakers voted to oust its speaker. Congress now in uncharted territory.
McCarthy on Matthew Louis ‘Matt’ Gaetz II: “You know it was personal… it was all about his ethics, but that’s alright.” McCarthy also said Pelosi told him during his marathon speakership campaign that she would have his back if the motion to vacate came up.
Since September 2022 or 1 year 1 month ago, the GOP House’s No. 2 and 3 Republican leaders — Minority Whip Steven Joseph Scalise and conference chair Elise Marie Stefanik — wouldn’t commit to their conference keeping the aid flowing should Republicans take control of the House in January, even though they both cast votes in favor of Ukraine aid in the past. So, both are pro cut spending for Ukraine too.
Steven Joseph Scalise says “I feel great” when asked if he would be physically up for the job as Speaker. McCarthy will not run for speakership again. GOP Patrick Timothy McHenry is the speaker pro tempore of the House.
McHenry, a close ally of former Speaker Kevin Owen McCarthy, was elected in 2005 and is chair of the House Financial Services Committee. He's a crucial person to bridging between President Biden and McCarthy on 33 trillion dollar of debt ceiling talks 7 months ago. McHenry is also pro cut spending for Ukraine assistance.
Patrick Timothy McHenry
As one of his first acts as the acting speaker, Patrick Timothy McHenry ordered former Speaker Nancy Pelosi to vacate her Capitol hideaway office by Wednesday. “Please vacate the space tomorrow, the room will be re-keyed." Also, Pelosi didn't even attend the vote to oust McCarthy. Pelosi still in the mourn the loss of Senator Dianne Goldman Berman Feinstein. She [Feinstein] voted morning for prevent government shutdown but not in the afternoon. She still tries to vote to prevent shutdown government, hours before died.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Sekou Jeffries’ staff helped Pelosi’s office make the move, according to a spokesperson for the former speaker. Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi's team has begun moving out of her hideaway office tonight.

President Biden has demonstrated that he is always eager to work with both parties in Congress in good faith on behalf of the American people. Because the urgent challenges facing our nation will not wait, he hopes the House will quickly elect a Speaker."
McCarthy asked about what he could have done differently with his 8 detractors: "A lot of them I helped get elected, so I probably should have picked someone else!" McCarthy jokes.
This cloying disingenuous BS is a nice capstone for the only speaker ever to be removed simply because too many of his colleagues thought he was full of shit. The problem with the whole “institutional problem” argument is that it only seems like one party who has speakers who can’t keep their job. Seems like there is an institution that has a problem but it’s not the institution he has identified. Would like a reporter to ask Kevin if he thinks Democrats would’ve saved him had he not supported the coup.
